In April Internet Magazine published a short Q&A with Richard entitled "BookMarks of the Rich and Famous"
Richard Quest anchors CNN's daily business show, a rolling three-hour live morning news breakfast programme. He has also reported on many significant news events, including the Los Angeles riots, the San Francisco earthquake and the plane crash of john Kennedy Ir. Did you invest in any dotcoms?
I was a chicken! I thought I was cleverer than that, so I invested in the companies that make the Internet work. Cisco, Sun Microsystems, even Lucent. Ugh! I don't even look at my portfolio now, it's too depressing.
Do you have any upturn predictions?
If I had any predictions would I be sitting here writing this? I'd be investing in them and making off like a robber baron. In other words, when it comes to putting my money where my mouth is, I have taped it shut!
Do you have a favourite business guru?
I can tell you the qualities I like: those who lead from the front. Where you can look at your boss and say-- he's my leader! I'll follow him over the hill! I suppose people like Richard Branson or Jeff Bezos fall into that category.
SO WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE WEB SITES?
It makes everything else possible. And I can then go where I want.
It allows me to quickly search the world's scheduled airlines and see where I want to go.
It shows me how much money I have left in my bank account to go away with.
It gives us something to talk about in the mornings.
For up to the minute business coverage visit
Just found a really cool site Leggo My Ego that features an InfoHunk section. I just nominated Richard Quest to be added and the site owen asked me to contribute a bio sketch! Our man's fame spreads!
